About the Author

I am currently a student in the distance MSLIS program at the School for Information Studies at Syracuse University.

My background is in visual resources and special collections. As an MA student in art history at the University of Texas at Austin, I worked as a student assistant in the Visual Resources Collection of the Department of Art & Art History. My passion is for manuscripts, archives, and image collections and I hope that my efforts in Visibly Collected will raise awareness of the issues faced by these and all information collections in the digital age.

The purpose of this blog is to promote awareness of the iSchool and act as an example of how libraries and other collections can reach out to patrons and interact with the larger internet community. Opinions on these pages are mine alone and are not intended to represent the views of the iSchool, Syracuse University, or my employers, past or present.
